Resources for Current Residents

There’s a lot to remember as a new or returning resident student. And it’s our job to make it as easy as possible.

You’ll find several of these pretty helpful while living at CSU!

Sign-Ups
After registering for classes in the spring, residents should pay their room deposit and sign-up for a room for the next semester.

Confirmations
All residents who want to leave items on campus over Christmas Break need to confirm their room. Room confirmations are through MyCSU.

Assignments

In order to be assigned housing within the CSU Residence Halls, all students must meet three basic requirements:

  • Pay a $300 enrollment deposit (new students only).
  • Complete and submit the CSU Immunization form found below in the Immunization drop down.
  • Fill out the Roommate Questionnaire.

The residence halls are divided up into housing specifically for upperclassmen, freshmen, and transfer students. The residence halls are gender specific. CSU does not have co-ed housing. Rooms are assigned on a first-come basis. New student housing is assigned based on the completion of requirements, requests, and availability. We do our best to accommodate all requests. Every effort is made to match roommates based on the information provided in the roommate questionnaire.

Room assignments for new students coming for the fall semester are made beginning in the spring and on an ongoing basis thereafter. New students coming for the spring semester begin in December. Russell East and Women’s North are reserved for freshman females. Quad 1 and the third floor of Russell West house freshman males. Upperclassmen female transfers are housed in Women’s South, while upperclassmen male transfers are housed in Quad 2.

There are laundry rooms in each of the residence halls. Residents have access to washing machines and dryers 24 hours a day.

Use laundry alert to see what machines are available and when your load is finished.

Each residence hall contains at least one laundry room. Laundry machines are free for use by all residential students. The washers are High Efficiency washers and require high efficiency liquid detergent. Pods and powder detergent may also be used, but must be put directly into the machine – not the drawer.

Our washers are front loading and have four cycles: Permanent press, Normal hot, Normal cold, and Delicate. These cycles range from 23-29 minutes. Washers should be loaded loosely three-fourths of the way full. Overloading the washers or putting detergent in incorrectly can cause damage to the machines. Dryers have four cycles as well: High, Medium, Low, and Delicates.

To report issues with a machine, visit the ASI Campus Laundry page and enter your request. You may also download the CSC ServiceWorks Service app on your phone and scan the barcode on the machine to create a service request.

Health and Wellness inspections are intended to inspect the cleanliness and functionality of CSU housing units.
