Hurricane Florence Updates

By CSU Media | September 9, 2018

Campus officials continue to monitor the track of Hurricane Florence. The safety of our campus community is of paramount concern.

While no official evacuation has been issued to date, should campus officials determine that Hurricane Florence may threaten CSU directly, residential students may be required to evacuate the campus. Only essential personnel will be allowed to remain. Residential students should thus discuss with their parents, coaches or Residence Life Coordinators now where they might go should they be required to leave. Residence Life officials will assist students without an evacuation plan.

Know your personal evacuation plan in advance so you will be prepared. Students are also encouraged not to wait until the last minute to obtain the essentials necessary for evacuation (e.g., gas, fully-charged cell phone).

Please continue to monitor Buc Alerts, CSU social media and charlestonsouthern.edu for additional information.

Finally, review the campus safety plans for hurricanes at charlestonsouthern.edu/security.
