CREDENTIALS

MSHA, MSN, RN

Mr. Matthew Robertson serves as an instructor of nursing in the College of Nursing. He received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Jacksonville State University in 2005. In 2019, Mr. Robertson completed both his Masters of Science in Healthcare Administration and post graduate certification in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In 2023 he furthered his nursing knowledge with completion of his Masters of Science in Nursing Education from Western Governors University.

Prior to joining Charleston Southern University, Mr. Robertson filled a variety of nursing roles, including critical care, dialysis, oncology, nursing information at a system level, and quality and safety at the system level.

Mr. Robertson started his nursing education career as an adjunct professor for Indiana University and served as full-time faculty for Ivy Tech Community College in Fort Wayne, IN prior to joining Charleston Southern University. He, his wife, and his two children are grateful to be back in South Carolina where their family started.
