Captain Jesse Powers is the Operations Officer for AFROTC Detachment 772. He oversees daily operations within the Detachment and is responsible for the implementation of the Cadet training curriculum. Additionally, he instructs and mentors officer candidates in foundational Leadership and National Security Studies, preparing them to enter active duty as competent Second Lieutenants.
Captain Powers entered the Air Force as a Security Forces Officer in 2017, earning his commission through the AFROTC program out of The University of Arizona, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Studies. He has extensive experience in Air Base Defense and Law and Order operations. Prior to his current assignment, he was an Operations Officer at Osan Air Base, Wing Executive Officer at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, Officer in Charge of Logistics and Training during his Short Tour at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, and started his military career as a Flight Commander at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, guarding our nations apex stealth bomber program.
