Dr. Seraphine A. Nzue Agbadou is an Assistant Professor of French at Charleston Southern University. She earned both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts from Montclair State University in Montclair NJ and a Doctor of Philosophy in French philosophy and literature from Rutgers University, NB in NJ. Prior to joining the CSU faculty in 2023, she serves as an adjunct at her alma mater (MSU) where she taught undergraduate French courses. She also designed and taught a graduate level translation French course. Her research interests focus on the history of the French reformation, the French wars of religion and 16th century French protestant theater. Her research interests have allowed her to enjoy reading about the history of the French evangelical movement, which is still thriving today, centuries after religious institutions were threatened by the program of dechristianization during the French Revolution in 1789.
Your Purpose. Our Mission.
My personal testimony as a high schooler who was lead to Christ by a music teacher years ago, helped me understand that educators in general, and Christian educators in particular can drastically change the destiny of their students. As I reflect on that fateful day where I said the Lord's prayer under my teacher's caring and loving attention, I see in every educator a missionary with the main mission of helping their students fulfill their God-given purpose. Indeed, educators play a pivotal role in guiding students, not only in the classroom but in life in general, by providing them with the indispensable tools that they need so they can find their purpose and thrive in it, no matter what or where it is.
