After completing my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at George Washington University, Washington, D.C. in 2017, Dr. Joshua Kim gained over five years of valuable experience as an Electrical Engineer and Researcher, specializing in Electrical Power and Energy Systems as well as working on projects for utility companies and the Department of Energy’s federal project. In October 2021, he further demonstrated my commitment to the field by obtaining licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering in the State of Delaware.
Since Fall 2024, Dr. Joshua Kim has been serving as an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering in the Department of Engineering at Charleston Southern University (CSU), North Charleston, South Carolina. Prior to his tenure at CSU, he accumulated approximately four years of teaching experience, including roles as a Professional Lecturer in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the George Washington University, Washington, D.C. and as an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering Technology at BridgeValley Community & Technical College in South Charleston, West Virginia.
Dr. Joshua Kim is involved in including the IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES), IEEE R3 -Southeastern USA and National Association of Professional Engineers (NAPE) in the U.S.A.
