Professor Christopher Davis attended the University of South Carolina and earned his Bachelor of Music Composition and Theory in 1998. He began his medical career in 1996 and spent several years working in emergency services as a paramedic firefighter in Columbia, South Carolina. In 2002 he accepted a position with the cardiac catheterization laboratory at Roper Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. It was there that he developed a strong interest in cardiology and ultimately earned his certification as a registered cardiovascular invasive specialist.

Professor Davis attended the Medical University of South Carolina and earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies 2014. He has been a clinical preceptor for the physician assistant programs at both Charleston Southern University and the University of South Carolina. Professor Davis is experienced in interventional cardiology and has a particular interest in pacemaker management.
