Aaron Baldwin

Aaron Baldwin is a Professor of Art and Coordinator of the Art Program at CSU, where he has been teaching for over 25 years. He is also a working artist, showing prints, paintings and sculpture in galleries around the region.
Aaron earned Bachelor of Science in Graphic Communications and a Master of Fine Arts in Painting, both from Clemson University. He taught studio art and design, as an adjunct, at Clemson and UNC Charlotte before moving back to the Lowcountry of South Carolina and taking a position at Charleston Southern. His course rotation has covered drawing, painting, printmaking, beginning design, history of design, and art appreciation.
His career, as an artist, has included numerous juried shows from New York to Atlanta, and gallery representation in Atlanta, Greenville, Columbia, and Charleston. He has two paintings in the Collection of the State of South Carolina, and in 2024, was a selected artist for the Piccolo Spoleto Outdoor Art Exhibition.
Aaron lives in McClellanville, with his wife Terri, a respected interior designer, and his dog and hiking partner, Watson.
