The Miss Charleston Southern University scholarship pageant has been a tradition at CSU since 1994. As a preliminary pageant for the Miss America Organization, one of the nation’s largest scholarship providers to young women, Miss CSU receives a $1,000 scholarship and moves forward to compete at the Miss South Carolina scholarship pageant during the summer of her reign.
Through this affiliation with Miss America, Miss CSU learns many important life skills including: public speaking, interviewing, physical fitness, and service. Miss Charleston Southern embodies the values of CSU through her commitment to learning, her leadership among her peers, and her service in our community.

Miss CSU 2024: Hailey Sparks
Hailey is a senior at Charleston Southern University majoring in Child Development. She has been active in our campus community as a Resident Assistant and Campus Recreation employee. Hailey especially loves cheering on her Bucs in sports and attending Sweet 16 events! After graduation, Hailey plans to pursue a career in full time ministry in the Charleston area. Hailey’s community service initiative, “The Modern Family: Success in a Single Parent Household” is held near and dear to her heart, as she was raised by her mother, a single parent. Hailey believes that through community and love any child raised by a single parent can succeed as she has.
