Experience Community Worship
CSU Chapel seeks to provide our campus community with a corporate worship experience that connects us with the thoughts and heart of Jesus creating a generation to live for HIS name. Chapel is held weekly in the Lightsey Auditorium on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. throughout the semester. Ashby 204 has been reserved for the entire year for any students with audio-sensory sensitivity and/or PTSD.
Attendance is monitored. To graduate, you must earn 48 chapel credits.

I began attending Charleston Southern after a 10-year stay in the United States Air Force. When I first realized chapel was a graduation requirement I still didn’t take it as seriously as I should have. Now, after having completed 52 pages worth of chapel makeups, I can say that I get it. Chapel was never a chore or an inconvenience. It was a privilege. A privilege that I overlooked. Maybe this was the way I was supposed to understand what the purpose of chapel was and the impact it has.
