CSU mourns loss of freshman Joe Bradshaw

By CSU Media | March 19, 2021

Dear CSU Family,

We received word early this morning of the untimely passing of current student Joe Bradshaw. Joe was a freshman engineering major from St. Augustine, Florida, and a proud member of the CSU football team/ministry.

Joe passed away off campus late last night, and the authorities are still gathering information surrounding the circumstances of his death. Please keep his family, coaches, fellow players, and friends in your prayers as we grieve Joe’s death together as a community of faith.

The university will hold a memorial service for Joe at a later date. Any student who needs emotional and spiritual guidance as they grieve should contact our devoted staff in Counseling ServicesCampus Ministries, or the office of the Dean of Students. Most importantly, be there for each other and trust the Lord to comfort you as only He can.

Our ultimate comfort is in Jesus Christ. Remember that God “heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3). We trust Him today to do that for us.
