Campus celebrates annual Awards Day

On Wednesday, April 20, 2022, Charleston Southern University celebrated the achievements of students, faculty, and staff at the 57th Annual Academic and Student Life Awards. Historically, this event fulfills the last chapel service of each academic year. More than 40 students received recognition for academic performance within individual programs as well as special scholarship awards and student life awards.

This year’s Excellence in Teaching honor was awarded to Dr. Carissa Smith, professor of English and director of the Writing Center at CSU.

New honor society members and Fall 2021 4.0 students were also recognized.
