Living Works SafeTALK Training; Suicide Awareness for Everyone

At a LivingWorks safeTALK workshop, you’ll learn how to prevent suicide by recognizing signs, engaging someone, and connecting them to an intervention resource for further support. A skilled, supportive trainer will guide you through the course, and a community resource will be on hand to support your safety and comfort.

  • Helps break down suicide stigma in the community.
  • Better skill retention compared to other connector programs.

USAF Ret Col. Mike Heuer will lead this 4-hour workshop on Wednesday October 18,2023, from 8:30 am to 12 noon. The class will be held at Charleston Southern University in room 103 of the Whitfield Center for Christian Leadership. Participants should be ages 15 and above. Registration fee includes all materials. Refreshments are provided. 

Advanced registration is recommended. Receive .35 CEU credits upon completion from CEUnits.com. The certificate will be provided at the end of the workshop. 

Parking is free and as soon as registration is complete a parking pass will be emailed to you along with a map of the university and floor plan of the building to clarify where class is held.
