Thinking about Studying Abroad?

By Jillian Davis | September 30, 2024

Do you have a yearning to travel, see the world, and still receive class credit? Do you find the classroom mundane and boring? Do you work well in a new environment?

Charleston Southern University has an extensive list of opportunities to either study abroad or participate in an internship in over 40 locations. Summer, fall, and spring semesters are available for you to get involved with study abroad. Don’t just take our word for it…hear from a student who has been abroad!

Hannah Lilly, a current senior studying accounting, studied abroad in the fall of 2023. She had the pleasure of visiting England, Ireland, France, Scotland, Iceland, and Spain, and loved every moment of her time in these cultures. Lilly looks back on her study abroad trip with fondness saying, “Studying abroad was terrifying but exhilarating at the same time. It pushed me past my comfort zone, but in the best way. It was life changing, and I truly believe that I am a better version of myself because of it. A piece of my heart will always belong to London.”

She has no regrets about her trip and would encourage anyone who is thinking about studying abroad to take the leap of faith and do it! Study abroad is available to all majors from freshmen to juniors.

Are you like Lilly, eager to get out in the world and see new places? Start the application process today or email Stephanie LeVan, director of the Global Education Center, at slevan@csuniv.edu.
