Learning Center recruiting Spanish tutors
Do you or someone you know excel in reading, writing, or speaking Spanish? The Hub, located on the second floor of Rivers Library, needs your help recruiting more tutors in the subject of Spanish. There are tutors for many core subjects such as math, science, English, and history, but CSU currently does not have any regular Spanish tutors.
Students in lower-level Spanish courses in particular struggle to understand the language. Some students need practical tips for studying before a test while others just want to talk and become comfortable speaking another language.
If you are a student who not only excels in Spanish courses but is willing to teach the information to other students, consider becoming a Spanish tutor and possibly get paid. Spanish tutors are not required to be fluent or prepare material for their students. The primary goal of a Spanish tutor is to aid students in their classwork and help them study for a test.
Tutoring is an on-campus work-study job. The best part about working on campus, especially as a resident, is that your job will never be closer to where you live. However, whether you are a resident or a commuter, tutoring is a great way to make some extra money.
