MS HRM – Purpose & Distinctive Features

Program Purpose Statement

Charleston Southern University is committed to providing students with a faith-based community, so that they might learn in a safe, productive environment. As a university, we promote the establishment of growth, change and purpose in the hearts and minds of students. Specifically regarding the MS in human resource management program, we feel confident that students will learn what is needed to work in the business field with integrity, morality, and competency.

Distinctive Features

Charleston Southern University has partnered with SHRM®, a globally-recognized HR professional organization, to offer the SHRM® Educational Program series.

This program is designed to aid a student in acquiring the core human resource management body of knowledge needed when pursuing initial HR professional certification. It aims to help students understand the nature of fundamental HR function in an organization. A student should be able to apply concepts from the coursework into professional practice upon completion of the program.

Courses and electives for this degree are delivered in both online and blended modes.

We know that students each have a calling that is unique to them. Because of this, we have designed this program to be flexible, giving each student the opportunity to personalize his/her learning experience and cooperate with his/her individual schedules. A combination of online and blended classes can be taken for the convenience of the student.

Students in the MS HRM program can take one, two, or three courses per semester.

  • A student taking three courses per semester can graduate in four semesters, or 17 months.
  • Two courses per semester is considered full-time enrollment.

Classes are offered over three terms: Fall, Spring, and Summer in 7-week and 14-week terms depending on the course material. Students can begin the flexible MBA at the beginning of the Fall or Spring terms.

CSU has been named to America’s 100 Best College Buys and America’s Best Christian Colleges.

This means a student can achieve his or her business degree in an excellent business school at a great value. Due to its low overall cost, curriculum, and small classes, the MS in human resource management at CSU is of superb value.

Charleston Southern’s business school professors are scholars in their respective fields. They are also Christians committed to teaching cutting-edge business practices in light of time-tested biblical principles.
