Kerri Nelson

Kerri Nelson is the ABSN Program Coordinator and Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing at Charleston Southern University. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from The Pennsylvania State University in 2017, Master of Science in Nursing from The Pennsylvania State University in 2009, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Stroudsburg University in 2006. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and the Nurse Christian Fellowship. She is active with the Rare Action Network and functions in the role of the South Carolina Rare Action Network Volunteer State Ambassador.

Kerri Nelson has been a faculty member at Charleston Southern University since 2017. She teaches Adult Health II in the undergraduate program, Quality and Safety in Nursing in the graduate program, and she is the co-coordinator of the Promoting Academic Success for Students program. Nelson has research interests in incorporating escape rooms in the classroom and rare disorders.
