Your Purpose. Our Mission.

As nurses, we are called to serve others. As believers, we are called to 'Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father, which is in heaven'. My mission is to help students 'let their light shine' through the power of guidance, mentorship, and example. Teaching at Charleston Southern University provides me with an opportunity to teach and mentor those learning the art and science of nursing as well as future nurse leaders seeking an advanced nursing degree. More importantly, a teaching position at Charleston Southern University provides me with an opportunity to encourage others to be an example of faith through love and compassion for those around them and the patients who depend upon them in their professional lives as nurses.
