Graduates will receive a text message this afternoon providing links and instructions on uploading a celebratory photo that will be spliced into a final video compilation – launched in a few weeks. Once the video is complete, graduates will receive the full video with their name called as well as an individual video clip as a keepsake.
Tomorrow’s first-ever virtual ceremony will be a time where graduates and their loved ones can celebrate using social media to share in their accomplishments. Graduates are encouraged to also wear their caps and gowns. Please use #csubucs2020 with your posts so that the CSU community can join in and share.
The Academic Affairs office plans for a drive-thru, on-campus diploma pickup on Thursday, May 21 beginning at 11 a.m. Mail outs for students who are unable to pick up diplomas will begin May 18. Further details will be shared following graduation.
As a reminder, CSU is committed to holding an in-person commencement this fall when SCDHEC and Governor McMaster have lifted restrictions for large crowd events. We very much want to provide the opportunity for the Class of 2020 to walk across the stage to celebrate their achievements.
Congrats to the Charleston Southern University Class of 2020!
