CSU to host two commencement ceremonies

By Jenna Johnson | April 29, 2021

Charleston Southern University will host two commencement ceremonies this weekend on CSU’s Buccaneer Field. The in-person graduation events will celebrate the Class of 2021 on Saturday, May 1 and the Class of 2020 on Friday, April 30—both at 6 p.m. More than 700 will graduate on Saturday, with 534 participating. Approximately 150 alumni from the Class of 2020 will participate on Friday. Each participant receives two guest tickets, and all attendees are required to wear a mask and practice physical distancing throughout the stadium and football field. Darrin Goss, president and CEO of the Coastal Community Foundation, will be this year’s commencement speaker at both graduation events.
